Retro Color-Block Custom Lifestyle Shorts
Blending vintage athletic styling with modern performance, these custom lifestyle shorts feature sharp contrast side panels and angled piping details. Crafted from lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking fabric, they offer a comfortable fit with an elastic waistband for everyday wear.
Custom Light Blue Shorts Back and Side Panel Detail
The back of shorts is usually where a maker saves money. Here nothing is saved: there is no back pocket, so no patch to sit on, and the side panel carries round from the front at the same width. The white band meets its front half at the side seam, which shows whether both pieces were cut together or from two sets of measurements. The waist gathers evenly across the back, and the seat stays clean.
Custom Light Blue Shorts Waistband and Drawcord Detail
The waist does two jobs at once: elastic for fit, cord for lock. Here the cord leaves the band at the front centre, which is where a hand reaches for it, and the ends are tipped in metal so they do not fray. The elastic is stitched through in rows, so it cannot twist inside the casing, which is the usual failure on a pair of shorts. Inside the band the elastic is left exposed rather than lined.

A diagonal line on shorts can be printed, applied or built. This one is built: a white strip sits between the light blue front and the navy side, with a stitch line on each of its edges, so the angle is held by seams rather than by ink. That is why it will not crack or lift at the point, which is exactly where a printed diagonal fails. The hem below is turned narrow and closed with one topstitch.
